Ein Gedicht von Juliania Bumazhnova.
I’ve studied your heart hard and long
Like a reader examining the lines of a palm.
I traced back the deep cracks
To the people who taught you how to break hearts.
You regret the opportunities lost
And how much time a little self-awareness costs.
You’ve woven tears with laughter,
Long embraces with judgmental stares—
A pattern that shaped you into a lover and heart-breaker.
In another place your heart and mine
would be perfectly fine
We would speak in rhymes,
read each others minds,
And dance all the time.
But in this world I’m not interested in polished hearts
So please let me hear your heart’s little song
That makes you both: stand out and belong.
